Most of the job hunting and search sites are entirely FREE to the job seeker, and are financed by ads,
and other demographically pre-selected marketing. Keep this in mind when you give any of these
sites your personal information.
Fee-based job services, (ex: ResumeRabbit), ask for your money up front, for distributing your
resume to potential employers. If you consider any of the fee-based sites, my advice is to contact
potential employers who utilize their service, and CONFIRM that employers REALLY DO use their fee-based services.
It has been my experience that the most genuine FREE job matching services, allow the job seeker
to directly connect to the employer, by responding to a job posting, or posting a resume to hiring
employers, WITHOUT any up-front fees involved.
Some sites insist that you 'register'... I generally prefer to 'job search', and just respond to job postings
that match my technical and geographical interests. Most of the computer generated job leads that are emailed out,
in my experience, are frequently NOT in tune with the job seeker's interests...
Job hunting can sites can be rampant with scams. For more info, see
